If I want to promote a non-profit or political organization, how can I be sure you believe in what we are trying to accomplish?

 

I will only take on those types of assignments if I also believe in what you are trying to achieve. Our phone conversations can establish whether we are both on the same page. On most political issues, about half the people will agree with you and the other half won’t.

Do you use a contract?

 

Yes. A contract makes everything clear and protects both the business and the copywriter.

 

What are your rates?

 

This is different on every assignment. Once we discuss what you need, we can come to a price and that will be in the contract. There is a range of prices depending upon how much work and time it takes to complete. For example, two authors could each submit a 300-page manuscript for editing. The price would not depend only on the length, but also on how many corrections would be needed for each, which likely would be different. I follow the pricing guide from AWAI, which lists a range of prices depending upon the type of assignment.

Are revisions included in the price?

 

Yes. Two revisions are included.

 

What forms of payment are accepted?

 

I accept Paypal, which is fast, secure, and safe. You don’t have to give your credit card number, and I don’t have to ask if the check is in the mail.

 

What writing formats can you work with?

 

I can use Microsoft Word or Apple Pages. With either one, if I am editing, I will use the Track Changes feature. This will allow you to view your original document, the document with the markups, and the fully corrected document.
